We are very grateful you are taking the time to consider our church called
The Journey. The name of the church is derived from Jesus’
teaching that all of us are on a spiritual journey in some direction, but that Jesus
offers to lead us though life on an extraordinary adventure to see what God is really
like and to know Him as a Person. We continue to be awestruck by the incredible
offer of an intimate friendship with Him and the wonder of life with Him!
For most of us, there is a point in life when we conclude that what we’ve
experienced so far in our relationship with God is just not enough. We’re
hungry for something more, and that “something” is more of God Himself.
Not more religious activities, not more Bible knowledge, not a more righteous
lifestyle, or more warm and friendly fellowship meetings. These are good things,
but what we really long for is more of an authentic love relationship with God.
We were all created with a deep need to experience an intimate friendship with Him
that is so satisfying --everything else pales in comparison. No matter where
we are on this journey, we all have a deep seated dream to experience more of His
presence and power and to know Him as a Person, a real Person who is beside us every
moment. Our heart will never be satisfied until it is fully captivated with
God.
Unfortunately, many have only read about such a relationship, rather than having
experienced it first hand. Many love to hear the incredible stories of God’s
miraculous presence in others’ lives, but feel like mere spectators.
Perhaps it is time for you to consider this holy dream and begin your journey to
encounter the living God every day.
We hope this will begin to answer some of your questions about this church and stimulate
good thinking about where you are on The Journey and how you can make progress.
Again, thank you for your interest and we wish you great progress on your journey
to follow Jesus!
The Elders,
